Seven Steps to Reclaim Democracy

Seven steps can reclaim our governance and societal systems, so that they serve the people instead of serving corporate profits. The rewards are enormous: Think about what is at stake. There will be fair tax and equity distribution, Universal health care, free college tuition, criminal justice reform, upholding personal rights, reduced military budget, environmental stewardship and a society in which diversity thrives –all will be part of the revitalized system. This shift can be rapid by changing the root of what is fixating the dysfunction.

By understanding where grassroots have the biggest advantage and Elite Systems have the greatest disadvantage, an effective proven strategy was developed to transform the corruption. In Maui, that strategy was put to the test. A group of activists applied seven steps over a ten-month period to end 125 years of rule by big business in Maui County….it worked!

This Hawaiian experience exposes the form of the elite system, its weaknesses and ways to transform them.

Our present societal system extracts wealth from the masses to an elite few and are based on deception, manipulation, divisiveness, thievery and control. They involve subjugation of the masses in a variety of forms. This is opposed to Democratic  systems that serve the common good based on transparency, collaboration, mutual respect, prosperity, and well-being.

The book illustrates the wiring of Elite Systems and how they can be rewired to serve the common good instead of corporate profits. By understanding where grassroots have the biggest advantage and Elite Systems have the greatest disadvantage, an effective proven strategy exists to transform the corruption.
